Prescription Drug Take Back

The public is invited to come to the Sarasota Police Department, 2099 Adams Lane, to drop off unwanted prescription medications on Saturday, September 29th from 10:00am to 2:00pm

Unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue, leading to accidental poisoning, overdose, and abuse. Unused prescription drugs thrown in the trash can be retrieved and abused or illegally sold. Unused drugs that are flushed contaminate the water supply. Proper disposal of unused drugs saves lives and protects the environment.

The Sarasota Police Department in alliance with the Drug Enforcement Administration is participating in the Prescription Drug Receptacles will be placed in the front lobby of the Sarasota Police Department for this program.
