Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent announces a new entertaining and educational video campaign designed to inform voters about the availability of vote by mail (absentee) ballots and the precinct finder feature on the supervisor of elections website.
The videos, created for television, star a toddler giving tips on the convenience of voting by mail and encouraging voters who plan to vote at the polls to confirm their polling locations by using the precinct finder on the elections office website at www.SarasotaVotes.com. The 30-second videos are viewable on the supervisor of election’s YouTube channel [CLICK HERE].
“We have created a fun and informative way to remind voters to learn where their polling locations are prior to election day. Political redistricting and the renumbering and consolidation of precincts have affected voters in Sarasota County and across the state,” Dent said. “The precinct finder feature on the SOE website is easy to use and can help a voter locate his or her precinct and polling location before heading out to the polls, ensuring a smoother and more pleasant election day experience,” she added.
A total of four videos, including two 30-second and two 15-second spots, have been distributed to Comcast, WWSB – ABC 7, and SNN for immediate airing.
The PSAs were produced by Emmy and Telly award winning Salt & Light Productions, a Sarasota-based company, and made possible by a cost-sharing grant from Salt & Light’s parent company, the Center for Faith and Freedom, Inc.
